Like a temple of learning...
Ray: I think that is a pretty good expression, Larry.

It is not the actual temple building in the temple complex...the temple would be bigger, but less visually impressive. The Ubosot is intended to fill the Novice Monks with something like awe, probably to make them more receptive to the teachings of Buddha Gautama...he didn't claim to be god but just a bloke who had spent a lot of time thinking about life's mysteries, challenges and purposes...
Now that is a very fine building Ray, and as you say, well maintained.
Ray: To my eyes, Chad, it seemed to be immaculate!
That place is just amazing, Ray! Wonderful photo's - thanks for the tour!
Ray: My pleasure, Elizabeth.
It is quite a place, Ray.
Ray: The Chang Pi community left me with a very positive impression, Frank.

A stunning building Ray. Nice slideshow too
Ray: It is a beautiful building, Bill, and will be even more so on the inside.

I am delighted you looked at the slideshow.
Kinda like going to school, Ray, right?!
Ray: I am always keen to learn new stuff, Ginnie, and to share whenever I can.

What a fabulous architecture. I know I keep repeating myself. But the slim/tall building has such beauty. Amazing slide show.
Ray: Thank you, Astrid. The Ubosot buildings are the most beautiful in every temple complex.

Nice to see some more of the site, Ray. That king was concerned for his subjects with all the medical stations he set up
Ray: It seems that Khmer King was exceptionally switched on, Lisl...big on architecture, big on facilities for his subjects.

What an incredible building this is, and spotless too
Ray: The locals clearly look after their temple buildings, Chris...great to see, as I have seen others in other villages that are not treated this way.
Magnifique partage , très depaysant , merci pour le diaporama ..
Ray: J'aime montrer aux gens des aspects de la Thaïlande qui sont différents de la perception commune, Claudine.

You might feel like being in a fairy-tale.
Ray: Up-country Thailand has taken me a long way from society as I knew in Australia, Philine...culture, behaviour, family and society values, habits, everything.

It is very impressive; such stunning architecture. I enjoyed your slideshow.
Ray: Classic Ubosots are spectacular buildings, Alan...there is one about 300 metres from our house.
What an immaculate place. The workers here really care. I love that the ancient king built medical stations during his reign.
What a fabulous building it is.
