Ray: I have seen them in the garden a few times, Peter, but never tried before to get a picture of one. I was surprised at how attractive it is up close.

Ses yeux sont très drôles et ses couleurs particulières.
Ray: Oui ... une mite très belle, et un visiteur de bienvenue à notre jardin, Martine.
what a tiny eye... and lovely wings...
Ray: A very pretty visitor, Larry.
What a beautiful little thing! Terrific photo!
Ray: Thank you, Elizabeth. Small, but beautiful, and interesting.

What an amazing looking thing it is, almost something like an artistic installation
Ray: Hardly looks real, eh!

"Boggle-eyed moth" is a good name for this. Looks like the design of some of the stealth planes are based on this wing formation.
Ray: Quite a nifty flyer, too, Alan...I think the body design works!
Almost a design for a stealth fighter Ray. Attractive beast.
Ray: A lovely little critter, Chad, and a competent flyer.
Oh now see that Alan has pre-copied my comment.
Ray: Alan is an ex-OS civil servant, Chad...he will be full of tricks, and explosive toys.

His eye looks like a little metal stud. What an exquisite moth - I would guess it is a Pyralid of some sort
Ray: Thus far, Lisl, I have not been successful in naming it. I believe there are thousands of species of moths in Thailand. This is one of my favourites.
Funny position. It almost looks like it is napping with it's eyes open. The feelers are tucked back so.
Ray: I was impressed with the way it pulled its feelers in, Mary.
i am kinda boggle eyed myself appreciating this beauty, Ray. excellent shot.
Ray: Thank you, Ayush. It is a lovely critter.
Quite one of the most unusual looking moths I've ever seen, but none the less attractive for that.
Ray: Thailand is certainly a good site for unusual moths, Brian.
That is a fine moth Ray and the eye is certainly most unusual
Ray: I had no appreciation of the beauty of its eye until I made this image, Bill.
You certainly have a rich insect ecosystem!
Ray: Cripes, Tom...Thailand is full of wondrous insect lovelies!
