Ray's Thai Tours #7

The land around Khao Sawai is very flat...and, green!

The top of this hill is one of the few places where an opportunity exists for me to practice my panorama photography.

Ben is a climber, so was interested to see if there were opportunities...the result is a vertical pano!

Magnifique paysage bien verdoyant.
Ray: La saison humide est une période de verts luxuriants partout en Thaïlande, Martine.
Wonderful images, Ray!
Ray: A rare opportunity to see a distant horizon, Elizabeth.
Landscape and portrait panos! Now we know. smile
Ray: I admit to quite liking the vertical pano format, Ginnie.

Amazing just that one hill and the rest is flat and green. What a view and Ben is not scared...
Ray: Ben is a very confident, but not foolhardy, climber, Astrid.
The surroundings are so flat that on a typical 50km ride I might record less than 1 metre of rise/fall per km.

Nothing wrong with a vertical pano, as your picture shows
Ray: I did quite like the result, Chris.

a green and pleasant land indeed! A fine pano!
Ray: It is green and lush all over Thailand during the Wet Season, Philine.
Très belle prise de vue , belle verdoyance ..
Merci Ray
Ray: C'était une vue magnifique et verte du haut de la colline, Claudine.
i am sure the planet could do with much more greenery, Ray. nice panoramas.
Ray: I believe you are entirely correct, Ayush.

I think you could grow rice down there Ray, it looks sufficiently wet.
Ray: Anything down there that looks like grass is rice, Chad.

Good that you get to see an extensive view sometimes, Ray
Ray: It happens rarely, Lisl, but I like it when it happens.

The vertical pano is very revealing of the hill and the horizontal has rays fields to ponder. In Portugal I also found a hill like that, from which to ponder rice fields.
Ray: All that looks like grass is actually rice, Louis.
It looks very lush and I am assuming the wet part is a rice crop.
Ray: The wet part looks like a failed rice crop that will have to be replanted, Mary...see tomorrow.
The pano certainly works for me Ray, it is beautiful countryside from up there.
Ray: When I visit this hill I like to walk around the back of the Buddha to get these views, Brian.
Vertical panos are not used enough Ray
Ray: I share your opinion, Bill.
A couple of nice shots, Ray.
Ray: Thank you, Tom.
