Ray's Thai Tours #19

There is time, en-route to the Bangkok airport, to visit a popular market and purchase ample snacks for air-travellers and car-travellers for their return journeys.

This ends the Series. We fitted a lot into the week of Ben&Naomi's visit, and this series has highlighted just some of the activities.

Thailand has much to offer, and our house seems well-placed at the hub of many interesting things.I hope you found it of interest, and it motivates some of you to sign on for an actual visit.

I love market shots and this one absolutely captures the uniqueness and color. Well done.
Ray: Thank you, Beth. I love markets, and the opportunities they give to a photographer. This is a very colourful and odorous market.

Belle ambiance pour ce marché coloré.
Ray: C'est un endroit propre, ordonné et coloré, Martine, et donne des arômes très attrayants.

As much as I have enjoyed the series and have learnt more about the country, I've still yet to be convinced that there are decent cafes there selling cream teas or even Dorset Apple Cake. What with that, the shiny, buzzy things and the humidity, I'm afraid I won't be coming. Sorry!
Ray: You don't think I give up this easily, surely!

Soon I may do a series on Thai cakeshops!

A fine series Ray. I think Thailand would be a bit hot and sticky for me....Iceland would be more my cup of tea
Ray: Iced Tea is a popular drink here, Bill.

I think if they don't find anything here they did look 'with their nose'...Dutch saying. Fabulous picture.
Ray: The Nose technique will certainly work in this market, Astrid.
I can iagine there is plenty there to wet the appetite.
Ray: Lots of things that are tasty, Brian, but many that suit Thai tastes as the market s focused on the domestic tourist customer.
A highly colourful market by the looks of it, Ray!
Ray: It caters mainly to the domestic tourist market, Tom.
