Raining

It is bucketing down!

I am caught in the car house, nearly 50 metres from the Ray house!

If it rains for a week, and then they come looking for me, then they will find me dead, curled up on an old hemp rice bag beside the rice harvester...hungry dogs will have gnawed off my toes, and scorpions will have made a nest in my shrunken, gaping chest cavity...

Its already been 15 minutes...it better ease up soon...

Oh My! If you're reading this - you obviously made it out alive! Thank goodness!!
Ray: I carry my smartphone at all times, Elizabeth, and wifi reception in the car house is quite ok...
it is perhaps making quite a racket if the roof is off those corrugated metal sheets, Ray.
Ray: The pounding of my heart is much louder than that, Ayush! smile

You need a good sturdy umbrella sir!
Ray: For beating off the hungry dogs?
Now you know always to keep a spare umbrella in the car house smile
Ray: I don't do umbrellas, Tom...lived in a desert all my schooling days, so never learned how to drive those strange objects.
Drop of rain like this won't hurt you. Look what they are having in Texas right now.
Ray: Everything is bigger in Texas, so that doesn't count, Bill.
Don't be so soft! Try living in England in summer...smile
Ray: No thanks! Who would live in England in Summer. Some people are even fleeing to Arizony, even though that fair land has been taken over by a pestilence known as Donald Duck!
Well I know you made it out safely because you wrote a very nice comment on my blog today.
Ray: Well, Smarty Pants, might have been doing eMails and SC Buddy Comments whilst laying on the rice bag and waiting for my mortal coil to flee the scene! smile

Do we call this rain Monsoon?
Ray: Usually is it called "Monsoon", Philine.

However, at such times as this, it may be renamed "[expletive] Monsoon". smile
good backlight shot...
but don't be such a suck... i am sure that you have some dry clothes at home....petersmile
Ray: I fear I am like Marshmallow Man, Peter, and will melt if I try to dash through the deluge! smile

[It is all very well for you to give such advice...your rain falls as snow, and doesn't even make you wett...]

Oh dear! Good job you don't live in the UK; this is fairly normal for our summer smile Surely one of your ground staff could hold an umbrella over you to allow to get back to your Palace?
Ray: Ground Staff are ,strangely, absent in times of crisis like this, Alan.
I have recently enjoyed seeing downpours like this.
