Not quite as grand as your place but I expect that the farmer is quite happy with it.
Ray: I don't know how happy he would be, Alan, but is certainly better off than some.

Quel contraste entre cette cabane et les immeubles derrière.
Ray: C'est ce contraste qui m'a fait faire le tir, Martine.
An excellent image of the social opposites.
Ray: Thank you, Elizabeth.

I like the washing line. What a contrast in dwelling.
Ray: At this time there was not much middle ground, Philine...people here are either very rich or very poor!

A definite clash of two worlds I'd say!
Ray: There appears to be some kind of harmony here, Chris.

One day they could sell,t heir field for housing Ray, then he could buy a Premier League club.
Ray: I doubt the farmer owns the land, Chad. It is likely o be owned by one of the Generals from the Military Junta that ran the country for the past 60 years. It is possible the General already owns a Football team.
No doubt the family are making the best of it, there are currently thousands in Myanmar who haven't even got this at the moment.
Ray: Myanmar is slowly and painfully emerging from 60 years of rule by a Military Junta that did everything it could to keep the other 99% of people as poor as possible.
i hope it is not an industrial complex dumping effluents outside, Ray.
Ray: It is more likely to be a warehouse than an industrial complex, Ayush.
A City Farm. We have a few here
Ray: I did not know that, Bill...I imagined Droitwich was a dense set of 1/6 acre housing blocks.
Is it a factory in the background?
Ray: It is either a factory or a warehouse,Mary.
He'll probably sell out to a high rise developer before long.
Ray: It is almost certain the farmer is not the owner of the land he farms, Tom.
