A Short Walk In The Grampians #6

Getting on to the Plateau is strenuous and a bit of a physical challenge, but is not at all dangerous with Ben offering guidance.

As we get higher the view gets bigger as the horizon recedes.

The mountains certainly convey the sense that they are very old...in terms of mountain ages of course.
Ray: Geriatrics...codgers...toothless oldies, Chad.

It looked pretty hairy from one of your lower shots. Pleased it is safe!!
Ray: I doubt we would have gone up there without Ben's guidance, Lisl.

You could so easily get yourself lost in such a remote & perplexing place I guess..
Ray: Continually trip over my jaw becomes a risk, Chris.

Your up in the treetops, no doubt soaring like a bird. The vie into the distance shows that there is not much other high ground.
Ray: The Western District of the State of Victoria is flat apart from this mountain range, Alan.

a wonder-wonderful view - it could be in the Elbsandseingebirge nr. Dresden, too.
Ray: It is a wonderful geography, Philine...must be a delight around Dresden.
It is an impressive landscape Ray.
Ray: One of my favourite places, Bill.

Sometimes it is uncanny how South African a scene like this can look. Great walk, I would think.
Ray: Yes...you an I have had a couple of interchanges on this topic, Louis...I have never been to South Africa, but expect I would feel a sense of familiarity if I did.
I'm happy for you to test that "not at all dangerous" smile
Ray: Ben is a confidence-boosting Leader, Tom...I have a phobia of heights , but he talked me 40 metres up a vertical cliff the previous day.
The view stretches away for miles.
I like the curly and leaning standing stones. Nature made.
Ray: It is an impressive, ancient scape, Mary.
