A Short Walk In The Grampians #7

And now we are on top of the World...a evident sense of achievement for Na and Mawin, and I am delighted that they are enjoying the experience .

No trees here...just stunted and hardy shrubs, flowering gamely.

Magnifique vue depuis cet endroit.
Ray: Oui ... la vue était une bonne récompense pour l'effort d'ascension vers le sommet, Martine.
They have a great view...
Ray: Worth the climbing to see this, isn't it, Larry.
i quite like the craggy landscape in the second shot, Ray.
Ray: Lots of bits for me to stumble over, Ayush.
YAY!! I love these photos - and what wonderful views! I'll hire Ben as my guide for some great hikes if I ever make it Down Under! smile
Ray: Ben is a great walk leader, Elizabeth.

You must have safe feet to walk down the rocks.
Ray: I tend to be a bit clumsy, Philine, but managed this walk ok.

I am beginning to suspect that this wasn't too much of a short walk..
Ray: Welll...it was not multi-day, Chris...so I will persist with the series title! smile
Que c'est beau !!
Belle recompense ..
Bonne journée
Ray: Merci, Claudine.

Well done. I've enjoyed the climb, too; it felt quite effortless to me.
Ray: I suppose you were sitting on a bicycle seat while entering your comment, Alan! smile
I don't know why but I don't think of Australia looking like this
Ray: Quite a lot of Oz looks somewhat like this...probably in total and area bigger than GB.
Good shots, Ray, I love being high up, ridge walking was my favourite.
Ray: Yes...ridge walking is excellent, as you get views both sides of the track.
That's pretty rocky underfoot!
Ray: Plenty of things here for me to trip over, Tom!
two excellent panoramas from the top of the mountain Ray... thanks for climbing it with your family....petersmile
Ray: The pleasure was all ours Peter...glad to have you along for the walk.
It is beautiful from the top. To think I 've been to the top of AU, the caves below, the top of Tasmania and the beautiful Wineglass Bay, all different, as these are. The western (world, not AU) farms are more evident here.
Ray: There is much to see in Oz, Mary, and it seems you have seen more than most.
