Among the various species of pink-flowered shrubs, Na has an encounter with flowering Grass Trees.

 

When I was a youngster there wasn't a sensitivity to Political Correctness such as now exists...these unique and lovely plants used to be known as Black Boys [for the black trunks, grass skirts, and long, upright spears].

They are prominent and interesting plants to be sure..

Ray: Thank you, Mary. I think Na regards them as OK as she allowed me to use them.
These are two lovely pictures of Na, cetainly there must be pages in the family album for them.

Whatever they are called, they are beautiful plants...
Ray: Thank you, Larry. I like these plants very much, and was especially pleased to make images of them in flower, which they don't do every year.
