I like your linking the two things together ole sport. I remember being much taken with the music when I first heard it circa 1968
Ray: It is a wonderful piece of music, Chris, and was a major feature of that movie.

I wonder if there are things out in there space which is looking at this tiny little planet called earth and all the billions of microscopic life on the planet thinking "Wow! There's a +Universe inside".

The celebrate the rebuilding fo the huge organ at London;s Royal Albert Hall, there have an annual organ concert and Also sprach Zarathustra once piece that is usual played. You can feel it start before you actually hear it; beautiful.
Ray: I can imagine how it must sound on a serious pipe organ, Alan.

Peering into the unknown - and who knows what it sees?
Ray: I like to imagine it is at least as smart as me, Tom, and so is seeing a whole other Universe that has been swallowed by this big Purple Hole.
A wonderful shot, Ray. Its a 'wish I had taken it' pic'.
Ray: Thank you for your kind comment, Frank. I take quite a few pics like this, but usually keep them to myself.
Great idea to link the two, and what a good close-up.
Ray: I immediately thought...black hole, only purple...and that immediately led my to the Movie, Brian, even while I was working the focus on the lens.
The music is certainly reminiscent of the movie. Love the photo.
Ray: One of the best movies, and the music fits it perfectly...I wondered if Kubrick had the music first and created the movie around it.
Beautiful photo!!!
Fun title and music!!! smile
Ray: Thank you, Elizabeth.
Worlds within worlds...
Ray: I am very interested in the World of Small, Larry.
