Il y a des fleurs qui ressemblent à  celles-là  à  côté de chez moi. C'est très beau lorsqu'elles forment un tapis.
Ray: Peut-être sont-ils la même espèce, Martine ... ils font un magnifique tapis.
Beautiful shades of purple and lavender...
Ray: It is quite lovely stuff, Larry.
Une orchidée sauvage ?
Ce parterre est vraiment très beau
Joyeux Noel
Ray: Merci Claudine.

Joyeux Noël à toi aussi.

This plant has increased the purpleage of the forest edge by a considerable amount. I wonder what it is, and does it contain MAGICAL powers?
Ray: Without a doubt it is awash in magicals, Chris!

The colour is magical - I can imagine your surprise to have discovered this patch of purple!
Ray: I sat down in the place, Philine, and just gazed at it for about 10 minutes.
It is mighty pretty Ray.
Ray: A fabulous surprise for me, Bill.
the detail is good in the close up, quite complex little flowers
Ray: They are gorgeous miniatures, Martin.
i like the density of the purple/lavender colours in the first shot, Ray
Ray: The intensity of the colours comes through when viewed up close, Ayush, as does the complexity of the tiny blooms.

Very pretty but I'm concerned about you wandering round in such an area. Goodness what lurks in the undergrowth.
Ray: I got lost in this forest once, Alan...it was flooded, so I couldn't see the trails, and I was sloshing about in there for about 3 hours in rubber boots.
It's lovely! What a happy thing to come across!
It looks like it might be some kind of mint... an easy way to identify a plant in that family is to feel the stem - it will have edges, rather than being round like a straw - it's usually square!
Ray: Thank you, Elizabeth. I didn't think to feel the stem...I might go back for another look...you are right that the flower does look a little like mint.
Some variety of orchis, perhaps?
Ray: It doesn't look like orchid, Tom...the flower is quite like that of Holy Basil.
Some variety of orchis, perhaps?
