Geez- do you really have cattle thieves???
Well - it's a great B&W anyhow!
Ray: Yup...Cow Rustlers...probably learned their "trade" from Pulp Westerns about Arizony behaviours of 130 years ago...

I didn't know that you kept cattle. You are a real farmer!
Ray: We have no sheep, Philine! smile

Well let's hope you never get rustled..
Ray: The only rustling I look forward to is the rustling of the chips wrapping, and the rustling of the bed-clothes, Chris.

I never cease to be amazed at the range of pets you have. Do the cows ever come into the house? wink
Ray: We have had adventurous cows come in the house-yard, Alan, but never the house!

[We have had an elephant on the porch]
You are becoming quite a farmer Ray
Ray: We just got some more land, Bill, so who knows what will be next.

I love the look of these buildings Ray, simple as they are.
Ray: They appeal to me also, Chad...they are not old buildings, but have been built from old, pre-loved materials.
So now you're an arable and animal farmer, are there enough hours in the day for you.
Ray: I don't do much of the work, Brian...mainly just dabble enough to understand the work, and research ways to do things I am part of Na's extended family, which includes several experienced farmers [for example, Na's Dad lives with us, and he has been a rice/cattle farmer for his entire life].

Farming is another interest/hobby for me, like cycling, photography, writing&reading, drinking cold beer while simultaneously solving the World's problems...those kinds of things...
Cattle and rice, eh? I guess you could keep going on those alone smile
Ray: I stopped eating beef when I came to Thailand, Tom, but your point is still valid.
Sad about the cattle rustlers. Lovely to have cows, especially milk cows.
Ray: Milking Cows are almost unheard of in Thailand, Mary, as Thais traditionally do not consume dairy products.

Things are slowly changing...when I first visited the Village [about 15 years ago] there was no place that stocked fresh milk, but now I can buy from several Mom&Pop places.

We don't milk a cow.
