Any Place will do

I found this beautiful, big Hawkmoth resting on a wall in the Pissoir at a fuel stop.

I had only my smartphone handy, which is a pity as the critter tolerated me up very close.

This is a beauty, Ray. Too bad that you did not carry the 'real' equipment....
Fabulous colours and shape.
Ray: I was gobsmacked, Astrid.
Your smartphone did just fine, Ray, in showing us Mother Nature's original camouflage. Who knew!
Ray: I suspect some Army folks stole this design, Ginnie.

Oh my! Now there's a handsome thing. I like its camouflage clothing.
Ray: You can surely imagine Lycra cycling shorts in this design, Alan...your "junk" would be invisible!

A beautiful butterfly and well captured, even with a phone.
Ray: I am pleased with how well the image turned out, Suzanne, given the poor lighting.

The critter is a large Hawkmoth.
How large was it. Hard to tell from the photo.
Ray: Something like 10cm wingspan, Suzanne...one of the bigger Hawkmoths.
This one has really wonderful camo patterns. A stunner.
Ray: A beautiful critter, Mary...stopped me as I was one urgent business!
What a beautiful looking moth.
Ray: It is superb, Brian, and totally stole my attention.

Probably intoxicated into lethargy by the smell of ammonia.

The smartphone did a smart job.
Ray: Ha Ha

The toilets in the PTT brand service stations are spotless, Louis...it could be the Hawkmoth is overcome by the fume of cleaning chemicals.
