Neighbours

I first became aware of their presence through the unaccustomed sound of twin babies wailing at each other in the neighbourhood.

Then it occured to me that infants rarely cry in Village as they are usually picked up as soon as they murmur about discomfort.

So, I went to look for the source of the sounds, and found that a neighbour has acquired these two delights...one boy and one girl...each about three months old.

This should be fun, as no-one in the Village except me has any knowledge of the mischief goats can get up to...

I know you will follow these with your camera over the next period of time, Ray. I think what I know what you mean, goats might have a mind of there own and I assume these are walking 'free'?
Sweet little goats (for now wink )
Ray: At the moment they are constrained by a cord, Astrid, but I expect they will be free to roam as soon as they are used to living in this village.
So adorable! I'll look forward to more photos (and stories) of them!
Ray: I'll keep me eyes open to the mayhem that is likely to occur, Elizabeth.

I think they have already visited out houseyard, as I noticed the tops chewed out of about 10% of my young corn crop.
Ils sont mignons. Des couleurs étonnantes pour le marron et blanc.
Ray: Ce sont les plus beaux, Martine.
HA! I bet we're in for a real treat at your hands, Ray. smile
Ray: I think our neighbour is intending to breed them, Ginnie, so this could turn out to be a lot of fun!

I think goats are adorable things and I look forward to hearing of the mayhem they are bound to cause
Ray: Goats are wonderful, intelligent critters, Chris, and can cause mayhem in a community unaccustomed to their behaviours.

What a nice story - the one goat has noticed you and the camera...
Ray: They seem very confident when surrounded by Sapiens, Philine...I suspect they may have been family pets in their village or origin.

hahah!!! As you know, they will eat anything. Your neighbours' farm machinery will soon be history. I look forward to hearing more of their antics.
Ray: I am expecting complaints about motorcycle seats being eaten, and underwear missing from clotheslines, and...

I wanted that piece, sighs the other goat.
Ray: They already seem to be tasting whatever they can grab, Chad.
Aw, aren't they cute!
Ray: Young goats are certainly cute, Larry.

You have the knowledge and the fennel garden ...
Ray: My wealth is extensive, Louis... smile
What a cute pair they are, it sounds as though there will be much fun coming very soon!
Ray: I expect there will be photo-opportunities, Brian.
i like how large their ears are, Ray, almost touching the ground. i would give them a good scratch.
Ray: I like to rub the spot between their eyes, Ayush...it seems to soothe them.
I guess if they are used to you then goats will be a piece of cake
Ray: Goats are never a piece of cake, Bill...their capacity to turn order into chaos is unlimited.
but these are such cute kids Ray... good find....petersmile
Ray: Beautiful animals, Peter...I don't like sheep much, but goats... smile
