Those flowers are amazing! I like your self portrait.
Ray: I believe the flowers are on a native passion-fruit creeper, Bonnie...very common along these roads.

This selfie avoids offending those who might be repulsed by the view of an aging bloke in lycra.
Nice flowers--hope your backside feels better...
Ray: Backside pain is normal with longer rides, Larry...reminds you that you have been riding for quite a long time.
Thats one fancy bike you have, Ray, the flowers are wonderful.
Ray: You would look like a bit of a dope if you wore anything but a lycra outfit while riding this bike, Frank.

Tu fais de longs trajets. J'aime beaucoup ces petites fleurs.
Ray: J'apprécie prendre de longues promenades, Martine ... surtout dans la gamme 50-300km. Je crois que la fleur est une fleur-passion native.

I do enjoy taking long rides, Martine...mostly in the range 50-300km. I believe the flower is a native passion-flower.
Re your comment about the Lycra, Ray, you are right, but when you get off....
Ray: I understand, Frank. I dress in lycra when riding this bike, and have multiple strategies for dealing with the reactions from sensitive souls:

1. Don't get off until I reach home

2. Get off only in remote spots where it is unlikely there will be sensitive souls nearby

3. Wear a frilly pink skirt to hide my "junk"

4. Ignore sensitive souls

Bonjour
Cette fleur est vraiment superbe !
Quoi de mieux pour faire une pause dans un tel endroit
Bonne journée Ray
Ray: Je suis assez passionné par la photographie et le cyclisme, Claudine ... parfois j'aime combiner ces loisirs.

I am quite passionate about photography and cycling, Claudine...sometimes I like to combine these hobbies.

Those flowers are bust beeootiful things!

It looks to me as if you're parked out in the middle of nowhere on this epic journey
Ray: Ha ha

40km from home is pretty much "middle of nowhere", Chris...in this direction it is quite close to the Cambodia border.
You caught the passion-fruit creeper flowers in perfect light, Ray. Sitting on a bike seat in a lycra suit for 80 kilometres is quite a feat. You should be proud of yourself.
Ray: I was quite pleased with the outcome from using a smartphone for these images, Beverly.

I enjoy cycling! smile
I would be doing that after 4 kilometers
Ray: One must work up to longer rides, Bill... smile
That is a very smart bike you have there Ray. 80k.is 50 miles, you must be very fit for a man of more senior years.
Ray: Super light and carbon frame and wheels, Brian...designed for aerodynamic efficiency. I ride 50-120km most days, but sometimes even further, so would say I am reasonably fit for a bloke of any age.

a muscular looking bike with a saddle that my backside would not agree with, Ray. lovely couple of flowers in the bottom shot.
Ray: It is a specialist Time Trial bike, Ayush...scary to ride at first but surprisingly comfortable to use after you get over the initial shock.

The long and narrow saddle does take a bit of getting used to, and you have to play with heights, angles and forward/rear position a bit to get it right for you...even so, sore backsides are a feature of long-distance riding.
Those are some stunning flowers to smell.
