A few hours in Kolkata Part A #17

We are driving through an extensive parkland area, where we can see the rituals of Kolkata's second religion...at least 50 cricket pitches are fully occupied by beautifully dressed worshippers.

In the lower image you can also see a herd of happy goats...these are the low-tech lawn mowers.

Belle ambiance pour ces photos. Je n'ai pas vu les chèvres...
It is no surprise that India produces so many great cricketers

How agreeable to know both natives and goats are upholding the remnants of the British Empire, as the Motherland sinks slowly into the Brexit mire..

Yes it’s amazing how the sub continent took to cricket Ray. Do you suppose that the climate made it the only possible major sport?
Un bel endroit pour ces personnes qui nous donnent un autre aspect de Calcutta ..la difference de vie y est troublante !!
Bonne journée Ray
Two good shots of their way of life in the sporting arena. I have never actually been able to get interested very much in Cricket, I guess it is because Motorsport is my thing when there is something happening all the time at great speed.
