I just read how "cold" it is in Australia, I hope that you will be fine once you go home again. Hope you are doing well, great to see you here, Ray!!!!!
Ray: The cold is a challenge, Astrid, but not so much as recovering brain function.
Hi, Ray - I've only just caught up with the fact that you are back - good to see the improvement in writing skills when I review the pics from the 16th onwards - clearly your efforts are paying dividends. I see you visited Kangaroo Island - I visited there a few years back on my last visit to Oz, in the course of a visit to a cousin living in Brighton, near Adelaide.
Ray: There is progress, Tom, but I am painfully slow! I have not been to Kangerou Island recently, but same these animals in a Melbourne wildlife part.

The last thing you want is frozen extremities Ray.
Ray: I feal the same about this matter, Gull!
We could use a bit of cool here, the continued heatwave is getting a bit 'much'.
Ray: After many hears in Thailang me body is not dealing well with near freazing confitions, Martin.

Can feel the choppy, swirly waves! Wow. Good placement of that bird, too!
Ray: I was envious of the bird's indiference to the frigid conditions, Bonnie.
I always think of Australia being warm all the time.
Ray: It has been a very cold winder in sould winder in southern Australia, Brian...dawn temperatirns not much above prezind.

Black oyster catcher is my guess. They hang around our Atlantic seaboard, which is very cold, any time of the year.
Ray: I respect your bird identification skil, Louis...I dont recall it being comon in Australia.
Wrap a blanket around you or add a sweater if you are cold. Layers is the key - from a northern friend. Cover your neck/head.
Ray: Thank you,Mary. I have been wearing a heany, and my hopy is warm...its just the emtremidies...
good capture of the bird landing and i like your treatment here....petersmile
