He's quite handsome! Magpies perform the very important job of cleaning things up.

A nice looking bird Ray. Some can be surprisingly intelligent
Ray: This species has been seen using simple tools, Chris.
Or magpies are loud and aggressive.
Ray: Something like football barrackers, Bill?

A little different in the colour combination to maple in this country; more like a gentleman in a dinner jacket. Ours come with attitude, too.
Ray: I do like birds with attitude, Alan.

A criminal class of bird I believe Ray.
Ray: Sounds like this character, Chad...might be why they are popular in Australia.
We have a lot of Magpie's over here but they don't in general have a very good reputation!

Sadly still no response to my four SC internal system problem reports and three emails regarding the problem with my blog, I can only hope it is because they are on holiday, it is frustrating not being able to do virtually anything at all.
Ray: On dear...that is frustrating, Brian.
They are disliked for their habits over here.
Ray: I think you might have identified a difference betreen Englanders and Australians, Martin.
I was taught to fear them in AU as they attack from the back. I would have thought the green parroty thing would have been the favorite or the gallah or sulpher headed cockatoo would have won.
Ray: I have been attacked by these birds...during the nesting season they are stout defenders of the teritry around their nest.
