Local School Sports day

I enjoy visiting the village school to watch and record the events on their various sports days.

Here are some students, in traditional costumes, performing a dance relating to cock fighting which is still openly practised in up-country Thailand.

Such colorful outfits...
Ray: Thai traditional costumes are always big on colour, Larry.

Oh, these are funy scenes and fine that you could record these events! Dances relating to cock fights are better than real cock fighting in my view.
Ray: I share your view on this, Philine.

The good news is that the animals are not hurt in the events...overs concede the contest as soon as it becomes apparent their bird is the weaker one...the birds are family pets.

Dog fighting also occurs, but is brutal and bloody.
Un partage très interessant , l'ecole du sport aide aussi pour la vie ..merci Ray
Ray: I am very positive about the role of sports in the school curriculum.

Ah now I thought at first it was seeing how far you could throw a small child. Cock fighting was very popular in the UK in the earlier centuries.
Ray: This performance was fun to watch, Alan.

The thing that attracts me regarding your Thai life is that everybody comes across as colourful and happy
Ray: There is unhappiness and drama here, Chris, but un-country village life is simple and relatively free of the dramas of modern western living...and, it is certainly colourful.
The cock fighting dance made me chuckle Ray
Ray: I admit to laughing out loud a couple of times, Bill.
Thai sports day seems to have a fun element included as well, Ray. I can't imagine our schools here staging a cock fighting dance in their sports day events.
Ray: I was surprised by this performance, too, Beverly, but everyone seemed to enjoy it. as fit it.
The lads don't really seem to have got the hang of it!
Ray: It was very funny to catch, Tom.
Was the music in the background at the event or added by you? I loved the music.
Ray: The music was being played through the school's powerful sound system, Mary, and could be heard for kilometers.
I like their colourful costumes.
Ray: Tia people are not shy about use of colour Brian.
