Now we speak the same language, my friend. Looks like the nail is trying to cross over the river of wood. Z
Ray: "...trying to cross over the river of wood...]...what a rich word picture you have created, VZ.
Thank you for your comment.
Excellent texture and lines.
Ray: Thank you for your comment, Red Pen. Actually, i do like to run my hand lightly along the wood...feels good.
It looked like a plowed field in the thumbnail. Now I know I've been living in the country too long. Very nice shot, Ray.
Ray: Hmmm! I can see what you mean about the plowed field in the thumb. Lets call that a bonus! I am glad you like it, Mary.
Awesome picture! Very nice and a new LIKEY for me! smile
Ray: You are very kind, Jose.

Cool macro shot - well seen & well captured.
How does it look in B&W?
Ray: Thanks, Urban8. It looks great in B&W, but I just felt like some warm colour with this post.
very crisp and detailed, nice.
Ray: Thanks, Dotun. I am pleased you like it.

Great shot - such nice lines and texture!
Ray: Thanks, lesley. Yes, it was the rich textures that attracted me to this image.

Thank you for your comment.
Ray: Ahem....example of Ray either:
a. shamelessly bulking out his comments statistic [as suggested by Louis], or
b. demonstrated his clumsiness in responding to the comments of others.

Fantastic shot with the lines and great macro.
Ray: Thank you, Scarlet. i am so glad you like it.
mmmmm rust, I just love it, nice grain too.
Ray: Thanks, Nigel.

I am a sucker for rust, and that seems to be a common affliction in photobloggers.

It seems to me you put the cork in just in time, before the barrel ran empty. Good for you.

I see you are into giving yourself comments grin Even thanking yourself - well, well.

Truth is that it is a great picture, lines, colours, etc.
Ray: Hi Louis.
See my response to my comment about my own post! [grin]

Regarding cork....yeh, crikey, maaaate, all that lovely vintage port was just oozing away, and the only thing I could find to plug the hole with was a rusting 2 inch nail!

Thanks for your kind remarks about the pitchuh.

Rich, deeply textured, palpable. But when I first pulled this up, Ray, I immediately thought of someone's earlobe with a huge plug in it! Don't ask. I'm just telling you the truth! smile
Ray: Ha Ha....[repeated endlessly]! I won't ask.
Fantastic colour & textures.. well done!!!!
Ray: Thanks, Gale. You are very kind.
Very well done, a great idea indeed !!
Ray: A very simple image, Zebigleb. Sometimes it feels good to post a simple one.
I really appreciate the textural quality of this one. I could just reach out and touch...
Ray: Thanks Catalpa. Actually, I do like to lightly touch this wood.

Such beauty in something so simple. Wow!
Ray: Thank you for this comment, Kathryn; you are very kind. I thought there was much beauty in the object, and am pleased if I have been able to show a little of it in my mage.
Love it, Ray. Fabulous texture and colour. (:o)
Ray: Thank you, Rosalyn. I do like the texture of weathered undressed wood.
