Good DOF and great colors. Its cousin in the background is a nice touch even if they overlap.
Ray: Thanks, Martin.
Yes...I like the cousin there, too, as it gives the image a lot more feeling of depth.

You made my day. Very beautiful. I happen to have a buch of these in orange in a vase right now, but this image of the red/yellow one is just breathtaking. Great job !!!
Ray: Thank you, Consuela...you are very kind.

Ohhhh, I think I saw these on Magnetic Island, Ray! Is that possible? They look like little clumps of bananas growing. smile
Ray: Entirely possible that these tropical flowers grow on Magnetic Island, I would say, Ginnie.
The flowers do look a bit like bananas, but not at all like banana flowers.

They look like an imaginated creation, but not real flowers ... They are beautiful and I love the colours !!!
Ray: That is an interesting comment, Ann. I think you are correct in suggesting they do not look like natural flowers...a sense I often get when looking at tropical blooms.
Superb colours Ray. Did you noticed that bananas were growing there?
Ray: Ha Ha. Some parts of the flowers are certainly the right shape and colour to suggest bananas, Richard. Banana flowers, however, do not look anything like this...see http://www.all-my-world.com/shortwalk%20book/slides/walk19a%2030march2008.html

The little bits of the flower look like tiny bananas, did you notice that?
It's gorgeous, but I've no idea what sort of flower it is.
Ray: Thanks, Ellie.
I do not know what it is called, either, but will try to find out.
Banana flowers, incidently, look like this... http://www.all-my-world.com/shortwalk%20book/slides/walk19a%2030march2008.html

A dof to die for - they would have said in fashion world. Excellent.
Ray: Thank you, Louis.
"Macro" outcome from a 100-400mm L IS USM lens. I am really enjoying this bazooka now that I have come to realise how versatile it can be.
A likey Ray ! a likey again...
Ray: This is a very flattering remark, Zebigleb.
