I LOVE IT! I think they're in a neon glory in their own world, Ray. You sure know how to find these educational images!
Ray: Ha Ha1 Must be a closet voyeur, or something.
Geweldig, this is fabulous, a joy for the eye, not that I am a voyeur, but I am talking about the colours, not KS#47, you see them perfom KS#51..
I make this a likey, they almost glow in the dark.
Ray: I think that public performance of KS#51 is banned in Thailand...despite reputation, Thailand is quite conservative.
Very well captured macro image Ray, great detail well done.
Ray: Thank you for your comment, Scotia...I am pleased you like it.
That's absolutely amazing, Ray. My flabber is well and truly ghasted!
Utterly brilliant
Ray: Damselfly variations on KS#47 tend to ghast one's flabber.
I am pleased you like it, Paul.
Amazing capture!I love it!
Ray: Thank you for your kind remark, Zohre.
Exquisite colours
Ray: Thanks for your comment, Stan.
Damselflies are often brilliantly coloured.
Astrid's right about the neon, excellent composition too.
Ray: Thanks, Nigel. Damsels are small, slight little critters, but not so hard to find as they glow in the strong sunlight.
Wow Ray, this is absolutly fabulous. Colours and lighting are superb! Thank you for sharing it Master. A likey for me.
Ray: So pleased you like it, Richard.
I had to work for this shot. I was sitting in the excruciating heat of the late morning sun, on a walkway over a waste-water treatment plant in a public park...sweating like crazy, holding my breath because the odours were pungent, and trying to not look like a terrorist because several security guards were viewing me with some suspicion. [grin]
And they stay like this for HOURS!
Ray: yeh...tantric show-offs! [grin]
Super shot such detail and colour.
Ray: They are pretty insects, and the strong sunlight allowed their colours to show.
Thank you for your comment, Vintage.
glorious colours... trust you to know the actual number of the position itself...
Ray: [grin]
They are small, but beautiful, animals.
Outstanding shot.
Ray: You are very kind, Mroy.
eeeeww but awesome capture
Ray: Thanks, Sub&Sin.
Harmless little critters, with more on their mind than giving Ray a hard time. [grin]
I don't think I was ever quite limber enough for that. More power to them, especially they look so good doing it.
Ray: Never to old to practice for this advanced stuff, Martin.
Even Houston will likely have a Tantric Yoga school.
Wow. Those gossamer wings and electric colors make for an unusual peep show - oops - I mean educational display! This just zings!
Ray: Thank you for your very kind comment, Karima.
Damselflies are very pretty animals.
Best sex picture I've seen in years
Ray: First in a short series, Bill. Don't get too excited this early in the series. [grin]
Wow, they shine in their effort. I am sure if you angld more from the right their bodies would have described a heart shape.
Excellent picure.
Ray: Thanks, Louis.
I did move around a little, and took a couple of pics...this one gave the best result for sunlight on their wings.
Nice one.
I note taken at F4 . . Perhaps up the ISO to 640 and take it at 6.3 or 7.1 for the same shutter and more in focus bits?? compelling image anyway..... I agree, how come you keep searching out fornicatory bug life??? Rob
Ray: Thanks for your constructive critique, Rob. I will try some shoots with broader DoF. I still have this reluctance to go high ISO...due to the devastating effects it had on my P&S...still learning. [grin]
I have quite a collection of "Bug Sex" candids now ... might pull them together into a steamy eBook. |
