That would be the day, Ray, if ever you got snow! But it does make an interesting, novel backdrop for this wee 4-eyed monster/creature.
Ray: Thanks, Ginnie. It was a pleasant surprise to see how the backdrop [painted concrete external wall of an apartment tower] turned out.

That wee beastie has his eyes on you
Ray: Actually, Zed, with that many eyes he can have them on almost everything at the same time.

Wouldn't that come in handy, 4 eyes...when I am on the bike in heavy traffic I could have an almost 360 degrees vision....yeahhhh....handsome little fella.....and yes he has an eye on YOU so you better watch out, it might JUMP you...wink
Ray: [grin] I can see lots of uses for an extra pair of eyes, Astrid.
Four eyes Ray! And I thought I was sober this morning...
Fine shot again.
Ray: It's very common for spiders to have 4, 6, or even 8, eyes, Richard. Don't let that prevent you from indulging in an early morning glass of red wine, though. [grin]

Wow, dude, this is a wonderful study. Particularly like the long, stretching shadow falling towards the top of your picture. And he *does* look quite malevolent. Cool shot ;-)
Ray: Yes...decided to leave the shadow there when I did a bit of cropping...I think it adds to the image. Thanks, Ian.
great lighting!!
Cheers
Rob
Ray: Thanks, Rob.
The lighting did turn out rather well.
Four eyes! beautiful.
Ray: Thanks, Stefania. Four beautiful shiny eyes, even! [grin]
Another link in the food chain, just like the one you showed us the other day Ray. Very good close-up once again.
Ray: i Brian. Spiders seem to be successful participants in this "game" of life.

Bangkok snow is something you snuff? Or did you catch this guy on the seats of a Fortuner?

Great shot of the spider.
Ray: Thanks, Louis.
Shot this spider on the external painted concrete surface of an apartment tower, and was pleasantly surprised at how it came out.
Snow in Bangkok...that would make the news! This spider seems to have extra eyes!
Ray: Thanks for your remark, Bill.
It is very common for spiders to have 4, 6 or even 8 working eyes...even tiny spiders like this one.
Would he fancy tomorrows lunch?
Ray: I think he would like a pint of Guiness to wash all the food down...

Incredibly picture Ray.

Certainly gives a new meaning to the expression "four eyes"!
Ray: I am starting to become quite interested in spiders as a subject, Ellie...amazing what side-interests come from holding a camera in one's hands.

How do you do that, Ray? Another good one..even with the improvisided snow :o)
Ray: [grin] Just bang away with the camera, and occasionally get a pleasant surprise when a shot is not too bad.
A masterpiece again ! As I told you few times : When are you publishing a book ?
Ray: Ha Ha.
Actually, I was quite happy with how this came out.
