Oddities #4

The first time I saw this man with his pig I said to Na "That is either the unluckiest pig in the World, or the luckiest one".

Na asked "Why do you say that, Oh wise, handsome but aging husband?" [Oh...all right, then...she asked "Why, Old Man?"]

I replied "That pig is either off to a butcher, to be killed, or he is a mobile stud boar and being taken to service some excited, in-season sows."

As I have now seen the rig several times, I must conclude that this is one lucky Grunter!

This shot also qualifies as an "On The School Run" entry.

This is a great story about the pig Ray... but i give credit to the farmer who built him this trailer to transport him around....petersmile
Ray: It seems like a well-organised little business, Peter.

Let's hope he appreciates his lot, as one day he will be off for slaughter
Ray: I think he has a great life, Lisl, even if he doesn't realise it.

If you have seen it on this Journey several times your prognosis is certainly correct
Ray: Lucky Grunter! smile

I never thought that this is a pig.
Ray: It is a very big pig, Philine.

What did you think it was?

What is an "On the School Run" entry?
Ray: I have an occasional series of entries about things I see when driving Mawin to our from school, Philine.
Fascinating Ray, and I love Na's term of endearment for you.
Ray: "Old man" yes, Chad, it does have a certain charm to it! smile

Like Philine, I thought it to be acow at first. I guess the cage has to be fairly restrictive otehrwise Piggy's movement could have the farmeer off his bike.
Ray: The designer has given this trailer a very low centre of gravity, Alan...it should be fairly stable.

However, the pig might weigh something like 300kg, so it could move the motorbike about if it cared to.

My feeling is the boar knows it is on a good thing, so will not do anything contrary.
At first I thought this was a cow Ray...I presume the pig is enjoying the ride.
Ray: I think the pig cannot stop smiling, Richard... smile
No trouble getting him in the trailer then. When you love your job.....
Ray: If I had that job, Mary, I would sleep in the trailer!!! smile
I wonder if the pig has a smile on his face on the return journey smile
Ray: I would wager it is chortling out loud, Brian! smile
That's a pretty big pig!
Ray: It is HUGE, Tom!
How unusual... great share. I also didn't think it was a pig at first.
Ray: "That is some pig" [Charlotte's Web], Jacquelyn Ann.
that pig is huge. are they common? the designer perhaps did not wish to leave much space for the passenger to gather momentum.
Ray: It is one of the biggest porkers I have ever seen, Ayush...I expect that is why it gets to be stud.
Lucky piggy!
Ray: That is what I thought, Elizabeth.
