photoblog image Watching you

Watching you

This is the large Thailand Garden Fly, characterised by the huge iridescent burnt-orange eyes.

It is about 1 cm from my lens...probably saw itself reflected in the glass, thought "what a pretty potential mate this is right in front of me", got all amorous and leaped right onto the lens about 1 second after this shot.

well detailed
Ray: Thanks Chacha. I did manage to get quite a lot of detail.
absolutely brilliant, this one...gorgeous tones on a supremely sharp macro...
Ray: Thank you, Photosam. If I work at it, sometimes I get quite good macros out of this stock standard S3is toy. [grin]
Wow ! Great image really ! What lens do you use ? smile
Ray: Thank you Florence...just the standard image that come with this consumer camera.

Excellent macro Ray. You got yourself a macro lens? Very good work mate. Regards, Neil.
Ray: No special lens, Neil. Just used the happy snapper S3is camera with the standard stuff the Canon folks bolt on before they chuck it in the box.
