photoblog image The Game

The Game

Motorcycle taxi operators stave off their boredom outside peak hours with a game on the footpath...although they are using chess pieces, they are almost certainly playing draughts [checkers].

This is an affluent gang...in many places their pieces are bottle-tops and their board is a chalk drawing on the footpath.

These guys wait outside my apartment complex; I know them, as I am a user of their services; I find them to be friendly, courteous, competent and trustworthy.

Here [ http://www.all-my-world.com/getting%20a%20Toe%20hold/bangkok7.htm ], if you are interested, is a story I wrote about the hair-raising experience of using this service.
