A cloud fights its way through the solid matter suspended in the air over Bangkok. The forecaster said "...with a possibility of local storms..." so perhaps we will get a nice cleansing shower soon. M etered Taxis are as plentiful in Bangkok as cheap meals and beautiful gals....they are also as colourful. 95% of metered taxis are Toyota Corollas, 90% of them have manual transmission, and 99% of them are driven by men. These vehicles are cheap to hire, and usually are quite clean and modern. You can hire a taxi for a trip of any length...if you are taking one for a weekend trip up country, they turn off the meter and you negotiate a rate before starting out...something like 2000baht/day or US$60 will get you cheap and [usually] reliable wheels. === I am featuring images from Hanoi, Vietnam, at my other shutterchance site where I show sets of pictures from countries other than Thailand. ===
