Very delicate Ray: it looks as if it is lit by a spotlight
Ray: The lighting was helpful to me, Chris...I believe it was near noon, and so the sun was overhead.

a holy plant, often praised- and your beautiful photo is a homage, too!
Ray: The Lotus is much used in Thailand for merit-making rituals in the temples, Philine. I am in awe of the Giant Lotus...this bloom is about as big as a football, and is exquisite in every way.
Wonderfully created Ray
Ray: Thank you, Richard. I did a few minor things with the image, but the main player is the bloom, itself.

Gobsmacked, Ray! A Likey for me.
Ray: Thank you, Ginnie.

The Giant Lotus is a most beautiful thing. This one was growing like a weed in a ditch beside a country road.

I have never seen such a fabulous Lotus flower. A likey to me. Maybe Wiki can use your picture instead of the poor picture they have now....
Ray: I have to admit that I am in awe of the Giant Lotus, Astrid. This bloom is as big as a football, and is exquisite.
I'm breathless Ray
Ray: I feel a bit that way when I sit beside a pond and gaze at one of these exquisite blooms, Juan Carlos.
Of all your lotus shots this is my favorite. It is stunning, Ray
Ray: It was in perfect condition, Mary, and the noon sun seemed to work with me.
This is a pure delight Ray! What a fabulous creation!

This hardly looks real Ray, though I am sure that it is for you would not try and deceive us on such an important matter. The lighting puts this into the coffee book collection.
Ray: No deception here, Chad. Thank you for your kind comment.
I'd have to agree with the consensus here Ray, very spectacular. Quite taken aback by the upside down cone as I'd never see the like of it before!
Ray: The Giant Lotus is a magnificent bloom, Fred...this one is as big as a football.
i like the light in the centre and the fabric like texture of the petal. beautiful lotus specimen
Ray: It was a beautiful specimen, Ayush and the noon sun assisted me with lighting.
