View Hunting #01

About 400 km East of our house the Mekong River forms the border between Thailand and Lais, and there are some attractive National Parks on the Thailand side of this border. Recently Na, Marwin and I made a trip to this region to fill in some School Holiday time with something memorable. I will show you a little of what we found here.

Here we are standing on a ledge about 2/3 of the way up the 100meter  cliff that has been created over eons by the Mekong River. On the far side of the river is Laos.

This looks very rural - much like it would be here. You framed a great landscape.
Ray: Thank you, Louis.I is about 100km from any substantial city.
You climbed to a good lookout point Ray, are those paddy fields next to the river?
Ray: They are small farms, Brian, and certain to be subjected to seasonal flooding.
Love the rock frame you created for this very interesting landscape.
Ray: The cliff overhang helped me here, Mary.
You all must be in great shape, Ray, to climb up that craggy rock face. It did provide a great view though.
Ray: The climb was not difficult, Beverly, and the reward was certainly worth the effort.
Its a grand view Ray.
Ray: It is a lovely place, Frank.
A stunning view, Ray.
Ray: I think you will enjoy the next few days, Tom.
