Australia #61

Shooting Ben shooting me on a wonderful beach not far from his house.

The Sea has an unpreakable pull on me, and seems to take a measure of control over me whenever I go to a beach.

Très jolies vues avec les falaises autour de la mer.
Ray: C'est une belle petite baie, Martine.
i like the shot of Ben with his footsteps ahead of him, Ray.
i find the sea appealing too, but that is perhaps because i spent the first 22 years of my life far away from the sea.
Ray: I also visited the beach only once in my first 20years, Ayush.

Footsteps in the sands, too. I like the cliffs. For me, the coast is best enjoyed in stormy conditions (less people around for one thing...)
Ray: Yes...stormy winter conditions, please! We visited this bay 3 times, and we had it entirely to ourselves, Alan...bliss!

I feel the same as yourself about the sea, I can never get to it enough..
Ray: I am convinced there is some kind of primordial tug happening, Chris.
It is all about being an island race Ray....admittedly Aus is a bit bigger than the UK but it is still an island grin
Ray: Umh...Right! Thank you for sorting that out for us, Bill.
I guess you miss the sea, and your sons, living where you do in Thailand.
Ray: I do miss those things, Brian, but there are other attractions in Thailand which is...by choice...now my home.

You can probably tell how much I enjoyed my unexpected 10 weeks in Australia.
In your case it would be a bit cold for swimming but here, I find I want to live in the water. I can't get out once I'm in it.

I sure loved those big seas on the Victorian coast.
Ray: Yes...the water is very cold here, and I was finding winter cold after 20 years in Thailand so I felt no compulsion to swim.

But the pulsing waves, and the beauty of the seascape, I found overpowering, Mary.
look at me looking at you... i love your shot of the surf between the cliffs Ray....petersmile
Ray: It is a most attractive little bay, Peter.
Looks a trifle choppy!
Ray: I was quite windy, Tom.
Two truly wonderful images, Ray! I love how you describe how you feel about the sea. I think Frank feels the same. And it's much how I feel about mountains.
Ray: Thank you, Elizabeth.
I cannot easily explain the link, but I know it exists. I spent my first 20 years in a desert region, far from the sea.
