Quel bel oiseau, j'adore sa "coiffure".

He's wonderful! The top shot is so beautiful with the back lighting... I love at the end of the video when something startles him and he raises his crest!

Lucky you. Sometimes we get these birds in the UK too..
Ray: They are strong flyers, and seem to be very wide spread. They are common in Thailand, but are quite human shy, Chris.

It is very attractive, too. I especially like it's orange "headdress" smile It seems to well equipped for getting into the soil.
Ray: It is a little like a woodpecker, Alan, but hunts in the soil.

It is indeed, Ray. I have been lucky enough to see two in this country - they are very rare visitors to the British Isles

A very attractive punk styled bird.
Ray: One of my favorites, Chad, and I am delighted that this one is becoming accustomed to seeing me close by.
Fascinating in the video how his head feathers spring up when he hears an unexpected noise.
Ray: The Top Notch is quite expressive, Bill, and most attractive.
