This is one of my favorite Butterfly visitors to our garden, and it particularly likes this shrub that has the marketing name of "First Love".

Le papillon et l'arbuste sont très beaux.
Ray: Oui ... ils se marient bien, Martine.
It certainly is gorgeous! You've showed it before, and I'll never tire of seeing your photos...
Ray: This is very kind of you, Elizabeth. I think you and I share a fascination with natural history, which we probably both acquired from a parent.
I can see why its a favourite Ray.
Ray: I get an astonishing array of Butterflies and Moths in the garden, Frank. Some, like this one, improve my mode when they visit.

It is a thing of fluttery beauty Ray. Any idea of its name?
Ray: It's common name is Painted Jezebel, Chris.

Shrub and Butterfly do each other proud. Do you know the name of the Butterfly?
Ray: It's common name is Painted Jezebel, Lisl.
Que c'est agreable de voir cette fleur et son bel ami ..on manque un peu de couleur en ce moment par chez nous !
Ray: Notre hiver est si doux que le jardin continue à prospérer, Claudine ... beaucoup de couleurs ici.

I would have thought that the shrub would attract all sorts of fluttery things. The tips of the butterfly's wings blend in with the colour of the flower.
Ray: Yes...the shrub attracts several species of Honeybees and Wasps, and at least 2 species of Sunbirds...there is a lot going on there. Alan.
A beautiful picture Ray
Ray: I am delighted my like it, Bill.

It is delightfully patterned Ray. Does he visit very often?
Ray: At the moment there is one her for about an hour each day, Chad.
This one is very elegant looking with the rounded shape.
Ray: Yes..."elegant" is a good description, Mary. This species is also quite robust.
Another lovely shot that would also make a fine greetings card which I gather you don't see much of these days.
Ray: I am pleased you like it, Brian. My observation is that the Greating Card business is about finished.
i was stumbling for the name until i saw it in your messages, Ray - this variety is seen in Singapore too. and your shot is delightful.
Ray: Thank you, Ayush. It is common, but no less beautify because of that.
