photoblog image Eyes #2

Eyes #2

More "eyes", this time on a golben Butterfly, that might be named Common Pansey...I can nearly always find one in our garden, and I chased this one around for a few minutes and made several shots.

Your work paid off - these are just lovely!
Ray: I quite enjoy the chase, Elizabeth, as I do not use a tripod for these shots.
Quel magnifique papillon !
Ray: Merci, Martine.
Magnifique encore !
Quelle chance de pouvoir profiter de ces beaux papillons
Ray: Oui ... une belle récompense pour le travail de jardinage, Claudine.

Our butterflies have gone now until the Spring, so it is good to get a "fix" from yours, Ray
Ray: We have many in the garden still, Lisl...I have just been outside and captured another beauty which I will show you in a couple of weeks.

I expect it enjoyed leading you on a merry dance Ray.
Ray: Yes...it kept doing little flights just as I settled and started adjusting the focus, Chad...it seemed to have a smile on its face.

You are now an acknowledged expert at this sort of thing
Ray: I am delighted to share my love of Natural History with an appreciative Audience, Chris.

Tomorrow I have another rare beauty to show you.
You are lucky to have so many glorious flutterbys Ray
Ray: I think you will like the one I have for you tomorrow, Bill.
I really should give butterflies a try as well, love your pics!
Ray: They are a fun subject, and are not at all rare in Thailand, KK.

Check the beauty I will show tomorrow!
Greats shots Ray, I'm presuming you have a book to look in to name the butterflies species.
Ray: Thank you, Brian. Not a book, but a Web Site.
I like this one even better than yesterday’s. Beautiful shots.
Ray: I see this one every day, Mary...most have somewhat mattered winds, but this one was perfect.
i am glad that you chased this beautiful butterfly around your garden Ray... the four eyes works to ward off their prey....petersmile
Ray: Certainly they seem effective in confusing predators, Peter.
Those eyes certainly stand out!
Ray: Most attractive to my eye, Tom, but I am not a predator! smile
