NE Cambodia by bike #34

On the road again quite early, as we have developed this desirable habbit now, but there is no big hurry as we are only 25km from the boarder crossing.

Let us find a bagette breakfast, and a pretty girl to serve it...Koen has an eye for such things, so this is no great challenge! The bagette comes plain, but warmed, and there is a side dish of a generous stuffed omelette to...umh...stuff in the bread. The bread is excellent, and the breakfast more than satisfactory.

Je suis surprise de voir une baguette française.
Ray: Le Cambodge était autrefois une colonie française, et l'excellent pain de ce pays vient de cette époque, Martine.
It was a rather 'heavy' start of the day compared to previous mornings!
Ray: It was quite a filling meal, KK.
You've certainly made the best of your trip!
Ray: Our mini-tours are always like this, Elizabeth, and we lite to maximize our experiences.

Early starts are hard to break. You look a little doubtful with no butter
Ray: Oh no...I was not expecting butter, but my omlett had not arrived yet!

Now at last that is starting to sound like a proper breakfast. Oh, and I see a proper teapot, too! The server looks very young.
Ray: The Server is about 20 years young, Alan. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was quite different from that of the previous few days.

This all looks very European.
Ray: I believe the French Colonial influence is still quite clear here, Philine.
Looks good to me Ray...just needs a rasher of two of bacon
Ray: The stuffed onelet was quite tasty, with its onion, garlic and chili, Bill, but a rasher or two of bakon woild have been 5star ok.
C'est sur qu'avec un tel déjeuner on ne peut que se sentir prêt à  roule à  nouveau !
Ray: Bien manger est un élément important du plaisir du cyclotourisme, Claudine.

Did the bread come with the French influence in the area Ray? I suppose that is obvious really.
Ray: Yes the only good remnant of French Colonial influence, Chad.
That sounds very appetising Ray, and you were served by a very pretty waitress as you say.
Ray: Yes...all good, Brian. There is no good bread in Thailand, so this was a treat for us.
I would have ordered more eggs and had only a small piece of the bread.
Ray: There is no good bread in Thailand, Care, but Thai omelets are really excellent, so the bread was the treat for us.
Almost home again, eh? ;-)
Ray: The trip is nearly done, Tom.
