That's a lot of goldleaf, Ray! This looks like it might be life-size or a bit bigger? You've captured it beautifully (but of course!).

Ray, what strikes me about this image is how close you are, given the amount of goldleaf on Buddha. In the USA and in Germany, that would be under lock and key in a guarded glass case. A detailed photograph such as yours, would be impossible. This speaks so much to me about the differences in the way cultures view such things.
Ray: The gold [it's real] is beaten so much it is just a few atoms thick, and quite a lot of it blows away. As far as I know, no-one tries to "harvest" it.
