photoblog image Grass flower

Grass flower

Grass flowers are tiny, but are often exquisite or bizarre...or, both.

I have published a fourth gallery of images from my recent trip to Nepal. This gallery is shot at Swayambhunath (aka Monkey Temple), an important temple complex in Kathmandu.

These are both Ray: an intriguing shot
Ray: Good ole grass, heh, Chris.
Your words exquisite and bizarre are very fitting here Ray.
Ray: These words seem to be appropriate epithets for much sexual apparatus, Chad.

Great that macro lense works very well
Ray: It has been rested a little lately, Vintage...time to drag it out and point it at stuff again.
Grasses gone to seed have wonderful potential photographically ... I see the seeds have been sown in you to achieve great results
Ray: Cripes, Richard...you are turning all biblical!

[grin]
I've not seen anything like that before, they are so interetsting and pretty Ray.
Ray: Nearly too gorgeous to tread upon, heh, Brian.
Sweet little tufts and flying bits. Well photographed.
Ray: Grass is wonderful and surprising stuff, Mary.
Very strange - I must take a closer look at grasses! Some great shots in your latest Nepal batch, Ray!
Ray: You may have detected that I think grasses are about my favourite plant family, Tom.
