Water Lily

The rain shower that dampened me on my bicycle a few minutes ago has rewarded the water lily pad with an attractive gem.

An amazing capture Ray... timing is everything....petersmile
Ray: Nature is a good partner, Peter...she knows just what to do, and when.
Beautiful - sort of abstracty!
Ray: It does become a little abstract when viewed up close, Elizabeth.

A delightful shot, love the colours & contrasts
Ray: Lotus plants seem to offer many photo-opportunities, Chris.
like a glass scallop shell Ray. Lovely picture
Ray: I was rather taken with this scene, Bill, and even shot video [see tomorrow] of it dancing in the light breeze.

This is a delight, Ray
Ray: That's pretty much what I though as I got it into my viewfinder*, Lisl.

* Technically, the Canon eosM does not have a viewfinder, so I really mean in the LCD screen using the Liveview facility...but that does not sound very "photographic", does it....
Simple but effective - the photo I mean !
Ray: Unlike Ray, who is known to be "simple but ineffective"...gee, thanks, Buddy!

Come off it, this is a jelly fish Ray.
Ray: Could be a Fresh Water Jellyfish, pretending to be a Lotus pad, Ridge.
and that makes for a nice, quick photo opportunity
Ray: I usually jump on a photo opportunity, Ayush.
Wonderful find, and well taken, Ray. I thought it was a jelly fish.
Ray: Thank you, Frank.

Ridge also thought it was a jellyfish...perhaps it is...perhaps I am a walrus...perhaps...oh gawd!...where are my pills?
These incidents turn the byke ride onto another dimension Ray...
Ray: One of the many pleasures of exploring Bangkok by bicycle, Juan Carlos.
It looks so much like a jellyfish! They are ribbed and so, so similar.
Ray: That's 3 votes for "Jellyfish", Mary.

It's a small pool of rainwater in a lily pad...I promise!

Without your description, I would have no idea what this was. I would have guessed that it was a jelly fish! It's beautiful.
Ray: That's 4 mentions of ocean critters, Alan.

Heck! Perhaps I am wrong, and this is a fresh-water jelly-fish...

gobsmacked
Ray: You are very encouraging, Louis.

It features in my video bonus section tomorrow.
Indeed it has Ray, great image.
Ray: Thank you, Brian.
Lovely abstract shot, Ray.
Ray: I didn't think of it as abstract, Tom, but have revised my opinion after 4 folks commented on it as a Jellyfish portrait.
