Snake on a Bike

A small [70cm, estimated] Green Tree Snake has taken a liking to my Time Trial bicycle.

Ah, la sale bête, je les déteste.
Ray: Sur cela, nous devons différer, Martine ... J'aime beaucoup les serpents et j'ai été ravi de prêter mon vélo à ce visiteur! smile

Is it seeking warmth, protection, speed?
Ray: Probably seeking small rodents and other meaty comestibles, Chris.

Oh, what a long snake! A fine togetherness of nature and hand-made things!
Ray: I was delighted to discover this scene, Philine!

Canyon imagine hurtling along downhill and suddenly feeling something in your shorts? Its a good job you have those Lycra things on!
Ray: Lycra to the rescue!

It also helps me to ensure nothing that normally lives in my shorts gets caught in the chain.
A pretty snake - presumably non-poisonous?
Ray: They are gorgeous critters, Tom, and I love finding them in the house yard.

They are mildly poisonous, but not regarded as dangerous as the fangs are a long way back in the mouth...their prey is small lizards, frogs, mice.
A different sort of hitchhiker
Ray: A good-looking reptile, Bill!
I have the shivers now.
Ray: I was excited to see it, too, Mary.
Just taken the shine off my Sunday afternoon!
Ray: Ha HA.

Beautiful thing!
I hope it is not poisonous... it's beautiful in a snaky way.
Ray: Mildly poisonous, but not regarded as dangerous, Larry.

It is beautiful!
Oh he's beautiful! How lucky for you!
Ray: I felt like I had won a race, or something, Elizabeth.

Thinking, that if it curls itself around the word GIANT it will grow in stature and become an anaconda.
