photoblog image wat hua lampong [4]

wat hua lampong [4]

Violent, chaotic scenes, perhaps suggesting Man's propensity to be bit aggressive sometimes. Several of the men in the fresco have exposed genitals...perhaps suggesting immodesty is part of our sillyness.

----

Fourth of a short series of posts to show some of the art inside this building.

There are 32,000+ Buddhist temples [wats] in Thailand, and many are richly decorated.

This series was inspired by a wonderful series from Zebigleb  [ http://imaginerf.shutterchance.com/photoblog/Global_view_/ ] on a Rivera fresco he photographed in Mexico.

Great fill frame.
Ray: Thank you for your visit and comment, UnieX. The frame is just a frivolous little last minute embellishment.

I'm really liking these segregated close crops of scenes, Ray. The added green here is wonderful...as are the new animals. I bet there's a lot of significance to everything in the pic. If we only knew!
Ray: Thanks, Ginnie.
I asked a couple of Thais for some explanation, but didn't get a lot of useful information; they did suggest the fresco basically points the way to a better "next" life, while also giving glimpses of the alternative [which appears in tomorrow's picture].
I couldn't find many females in the fresco, but #6 in two days might make you smile a little.
